Cartier’s re-release of one of the best-selling fragrances of all time, Déclaration, the masculine essence of Jean Claude Ellen’s perfume, in a new bottle, came out in October 2012. Déclaration d’un Soir, a new smell for men, reiterates the cool spices of the original thanks to perfumer Mathilde Laurent he did not want to add new fragrances to the scent that was already brought to perfection. Basically, it is a huge fresh rose, but with a thorn, which has a wooden background and which is enhanced with the tones of cardamon and a very important pepper that gives a bitter taste. Woody tones are sandalwood.
